We introduceren Pietje Plee, het Nederlandse equivalent van Louie the Loo. Want we hebben iets gemist eergisteren, afgeleid als we waren door alle acties rond de Filipijnen. De Wereld WC Dag! En de toilet redt levens, moet eigenlijk bezongen worden. Maar in dit spotje van Water Aid zingt-ie zelf zijn boodschap. De WC-songtekst is te lezen in de overlees. WaterAid omschrijft zichzelf als een ‘international non-profit organization transforming lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation.’ Schone WC’s is natuurlijk van levensbelang voor met name kinderen in ontwikkelingslanden. ”Around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation – that’s almost 2,000 children a day.” Dus: ‘Thank you toilet, from us all at WaterAid!’ En daar sluit Reclamewereld zich natuurlijk bij aan, Pietje Plee
