Mijn Engelse vriendjes Rick en Mark zijn er nog steeds ziek van… Voor de Engelse rugbyers liep het WK in eigen land uit op een drama. In de Londense ‘rugbytempel’ Twickenham werd zaterdag van Australië verloren. Waardoor Engeland -volgens sommigen zelfs favoriet voor de titel- als eerste gastland van een WK in de groepsfase strandde. Maar de reclame van sponsor Dove Men + Care ging natuurlijk gewoon door op de Engelse tv. Weer herhaald werd de mooi gefilmde commercial met enkele internationale rugbyers van eerder dit jaar, met als prachttekst (zie doorlees): het Rudyard Kipling gedicht ‘If‘ met een rugby draai eraan. meldt Dove Men + Care het volgende, en ik laat het maar onvertaald, geen tijd vandaag:
